Oolitic aragonite is OMRI listed and is an excellent source of bioavailable calcium for poultry. Egg-laying species require calcium for eggshell integrity, and without sufficient calcium, there may be health implications. Oolitic aragonite also contains beneficial amino acids that may help to improve calcium uptake.
Oolitic aragonite is also an excellent bedding for chicken houses, neutralizing effluent ammonia.
